Today I've been reflecting on Phase One of the Chartered Teacher Programme while sat in a coffee shop looking at this view! The assignments have been completed, my professional development plan is in place and I've read more pedagogy in the last three months than in the last five years! The course materials are of really good quality and excellent use is made of an online learning platform. I've already learnt a lot from the reading so far and know that I have to be careful not to commit myself to trying to do too much. There is the day job to keep up with and the summer band concerts are soon approaching as well! The next step for me is to get ready for the assessment day in a couple of weeks time and then to get my teeth stuck in to the latest edition of Impact, the journal produced by the Chartered College. I'm excited about sharing the articles with my departmental team as part of our annual away day.
